I need to remember Lethoso...

So I'm not sure if I am suppposed to have a post or not, and if I am, what I am even supposed to post about. But just to be safe, a long-anticipated post...

So my weekend went like this: On Friday, I was supposed to be doing homework all night long because for some reason, I thought that if my classes don't meet so often (lots of 3 hour once a week classes), then I must not have so much homework. That's a lie. I can't believe I fell for it. But just 21 pages into an article on the "injustice" of missions to Africa, some friends were taking a trip to Short Pump to get a suit tailored. So I went, because it meant a stop at O'Charleys.

So Saturday I went running because I'm training for a marathon. Well actually, a half marathon now because I acquired PFS (aka runners knee) over Christmas and I had to take a month off. So I went running in the rain, and it was wonderful. And then I went grocery shopping and to Dick's Sporting Goods with 4 girls I live with, and we impulsively bought an Ab Lounger that I am in love with. And then I read all night.

Which brings me to today, and it included wonderful church this morning, valentine-making this afternoon, and a super bowl party with my core group girls tonight. Im not happy about the outcome, because I wanted seattle to win. Not that I like seattle, but as a New England fan, I hate Pittsburgh. And all i will say is that the Pats won the super bowl of my heart, always and forever...
And now more reading.

So to make this whole though somewhat relevant, just incase there is indeed a topic, Dale's theory/cone on learning tells me that the hours that I have spent reading about African churches and Pope Pius X's encyclicals were 70% wasted. And so is most of my college learning experience. Except for ed school, which is amazing because it's all practical and I see it used everyday, so I wont forget it. To throw in an application, I will remember not to talk too much in my 1st grade classroom and I will be sure to let them do all kinds of activities. No lecturing for me. They will get enough of that later. Trust me.

ok. bed time. good night!
